Dear Rohan,
How are you? I hope you’re doing well and enjoying your new school. I wanted to share how we celebrated Earth Day at our school last week. It was a day full of fun and learning about protecting our planet.
The event was held in our school auditorium. It began with a wonderful speech by our principal. She talked about how small actions like saving water, reducing waste, and planting trees can make a big difference to the Earth. It made me realize how I can help too.
There were stalls by our eco-club showing eco-friendly products like cloth bags, bamboo utensils, and organic food. I even bought a jute bag, which I now use for shopping instead of plastic ones.
Later, we had a craft competition where students made useful things from waste. It was amazing to see photo frames, bags, and other items made from old bottles and sarees.
In the afternoon, we all went to the school garden for a tree-planting ceremony. Our chief guest planted saplings, and we promised to take care of them as they grow.
The day was inspiring and taught us the importance of caring for nature. Let me know how your school celebrates Earth Day!
