" Peace "

Meaning of peace :-

Generally, peace is taken to mean that there is no war. A face-off between two countries with weapons is called war. While there was no such situation in Rwanda or Bosnia but there was a lack of peace. 

We can see peace as the absence of violent conflicts. (No conflict) No conflict of any kind, caste, class, gender, colonial, communal. 

️ Nonviolence :-

Non-violence means not to injure anything on earth by thought, word or deed, but sometimes it is necessary to use force to keep peace but war should be only the last resort.

️ Structural Violence :-

The violence arising out of our social structure is called structural violence.

Such as:- Casteism, class discrimination, patriarchy, colonialism, racism, terrorism and communalism.

️ Different forms of structural violence :-

Ethnic Riots :- 

With the abolition of untouchability in India, many privileges associated with the caste system disappeared one by one. Start challenging! 

Racism :- 

At the core of racism has been the feeling that certain races are superior to nature and that they have every right to suppress other races. Racism manifested itself in the policy of Nazism in Germany and apartheid in South Africa.

Based on caste system :- 

Treating certain groups and castes as untouchables. An attempt was made to abolish it on the basis of the constitution by making a law. 

Based on the basis of patriarchy :- 

In such societies, women are subjected to discrimination and discrimination is done with them. Its consequences can be seen in the form of female feticide, inadequate nutrition, dowry, etc. 

Colonialism :- 

Colonialism ended like this but the existence continues even today. Examples of this are the Palestinian struggle against Israeli domination, the exploitation of the former colonies of European countries, etc. 

Apartheid, communalism and race based groups can be seen even today. (Examples from Hitler to the present day can be taken.) 

Violence and discrimination have an effect on both psychological and physical conditions of a person. 

️ Ways to end violence :-

The purpose of the establishment of the United Nations Educational Scientific Organization is to promote cooperation between nations by the development of education, science, culture and communication system and to establish peace and security in the world because the concept of peace should be developed in the mind of war human beings.

Can violence ever encourage peace?

Although violence leaves behind a chain of death and destruction, but still helps in a planned way. (Examples of Gandhi, Martin Luther King, Nelson Mandela etc. can be given). 

️ Peace and Statehood :-

Every state sees itself as a complete and supreme entity. For peace one has to see oneself as a greater humanity. 

The use of force on civilians must be stopped. This is possible only through a democratic government system. 

️ Different ways to make peace :-

Giving central place to nations, respecting their sovereignty. 

To reduce the mutual rivalry of nations, from economic integration to political integration. 

The process of world globalization.

By adopting disarmament.

️ Contemporary Challenges :-

Effective demonstration to domineering nations: - America's intervention in Iraq. 

Selfish conduct of terrorism: - Fear of use of biological chemical weapons by these forces.

No international intervention: - In 1994, the Tutsi people were killed in the gorilla war, no action was taken on the bloodshed in Rwanda. 

️ Areas where nuclear weapons are banned :-

The restrictions on nuclear weapons in spite of some areas where. 

There are six such areas:-

South Polar Region 

Latin America and the Caribbean Region 

Southeast Asia 

Africa 

South Pacific region and 

Mongolia 

Peace is being given priority in the contemporary world. A new branch of knowledge called peace studies has also been created.

️ United Nations Organization :-

U. N. It was established on 24 October 1945 with the aim of establishing peace in the world.

The United Nations Organization is an international organization, which was established on 24 October 1945 after the end of World War II. 

UNO established international peace and security to promote social, economic, cultural and human relations at the international level. 

️ Terrorist Activities :-

Different methods have been adopted by the world community to deal with the role of Libya, Sudan and Afghanistan in spreading international terrorism.

The September 11 attack on America's World Trade Center was the most devastating terrorist incident to date; the United Nations Security Council appealed for full cooperation of all countries in the campaign against terrorists.

️ Peace and Statehood :-

To establish order and harmony in our society, there is a need for a power system which is called state. 

The modern state performs many functions, the state protects the life and property of the citizens, provides relief to the people in the event of nature disasters, protects the honor of the nation towards the lives and property of the citizens during foreign invasion and art. And raises appropriate opportunities for the progress of science and material welfare of the people.
